rock, Americana, twang, pop, country, rockabilly: After some 20 years of roaming the countryside, playing what seems like every honky tonk in America, I have finally perfected the four piece rock and roll boogie band. It has taken a very long time and I'm happy to get it recorded. The scene was the Sunbanks Festival in beautiful Electric City, Washington, on the shores of the Grand Coulee in front of thousands of culture lovers, on Saturday, September 8, 2018. No frills, no overdubs, nothing fancy, just four like minded reprobates doing what we do best: playing their hearts out and creating good time rock and roll music. Tim Eschliman and I have been working together, on and off, playing and producing for 40 years. He plays bass and sings a lot in this band. Sean Allen, western swing hall of famer and pedal steel whiz plays the electric guitar in this group and sings a lot of the songs on this album. Steve Barbuto is the drummer, here been backing the Commander Cody groups for going on 25 years and sings Don't Let Go for the first time live.. I think this is the best album I've done in 45 years and I hope you'll agree... just basic rock and roll from the ozone.

rock, country, americana: A long awaited and much anticipated new release by Transistor Rodeo. "Truck and a Radio" marks a new approach to the band's presentation of material. This new album sets the songs on a bare bones, primitive palette; no elaborate arrangements, soloists, backing vocals or any additional instrumentation. The pure sound of guitar, bass & drums leave only the heart of rock & roll to fuel the material, letting the songs stand on their own merit. This also allows the band to give the audience a true reflection of a live performance. Recorded by Tim Eschliman for Globe Records, it brings Transistor Rodeo back home to the label that helped launch Dave Erdmann's songwriting passion over two decades ago. Truck And A Radio is unique in the band's catalog of releases, inspired by the likes of BUDDY HOLLY and THE CLASH bringing simplicity to the material. This album brings together the guitar stylings and prolific somgwriting of David Erdmann and his close-knit rhythm section, Sean Brown on bass and Steve Bryant on drums. It was mixed by four-time Emmy award winner Dana Kirkpatrick & mastered by Rob Beaton who started at the famed Record Plant Studios in Sausalito. Between Tim, Dana & Rob the "balance" of the album sits where it should, letting the songs do the talking. Sit back & listen to the music produced by the restless imagination of this musical storyteller.

country, rock, acoustic, americana, folk: Brand new release by this original roots-based Sonoma County alternative folk group. "A down-home meeting of British folk-rock duo Richard & Linda Thompson and The Flying Burrito Brothers". Traces of 10,000 Maniacs and Lucinda Williams. This San Francisco Bay Area-based Alt-folk group's new album digs deep into American Roots with a wide-open Sonoma County style on ten new original songs and two classics, Bob Dylan's "You Ain't Goin Nowhere" and Johnny Cash's "Get Rhythm." Using 12-strings, lap steels, harmonica and keyboards on top of a solid core of guitars and vocals, this release tips it's hat to Eddie Cochran ("Little Bird"), echoes the glory days of Gram Parsons ("Whistle of the Wheels") and brings back shades of The Beatles, Beau Brummels, and The Lovin Spoonful ("If You Took The Time," "In The Summertime"). The group has received critical acclaim, featured in Acoustic Guitar Magazine and Performing Songwriter Magazine. Solid Air has been performing together for over twelve years and were nominated for the "Wammies" S.F. Weekly's Alternative Music Awards. Their song "Postcard" was featured in Fast Folk Audio Magazine.
