Roots Rock, Americana, Singer/songwriter, country blues, western swing, cajun, folk, acoustic, pop: November Sale! New Release! 2023 Vinyl LP release. Original and vintage Roots Rock, Americana, Country Blues, Singer/Songwriter, Western Swing and Cajun music with rich acoustic tones... Top 100 Album of 2022 at Alt. Country Specialty Chart. Born out of the pandemic, connecting a vast group of talent not usually available. A shelter-in-Place-inspired musical outfit befitting the newfound minimalism of the times... back to the basics. Formed for the first time in the locked-down summer of 2020, they were born out of live streaming episodes that lead to outdoor performances and a recent foray into the Big-Pink-style living room recording facilities of Globe Records (as also utilized in the recent New Copasetics release). With Tim Eschliman, Candy Girard, Bowen Brown, Beau Beaulieu, Jackson Allen, Vicki Randle, Gary Potterton, Kathy Kennedy, Austin deLone, Isaac Carter, Barbara Higbie and Jack Ohara. Produced by Tim Eschliman. Recorded at Global Mobile, Napa County, CA. Cover Art: Katie Kincade Designs. Manufactured in the Nerherlands. "...excellent album ...has roots in country and blues but zigzags all over the musical map, evokes artists from multiple decades over the last century and embraces everything from indie-rock and Americana to Celtic, Motown, and Western swing. If you need a reference point, look to Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks and Asleep at the Wheel, whose records also draw on disparate sources." - Jeff Burger, Americana Highways, TheAquarian.com. "...everything from alt. rock to cajun, to country, to Brownie Ford era-Western Swing. But the thing that keeps this set together is their excellent songwriting full of smooth never-miss-a-beat lines and vivid imagery. It's a studio album but it sure does have a back porch jam band feel to it" - Calvin Powers, americanamusicshow.com, WHUP-FM (4 songs in rotation)

new orleans, zydeco, cajun, R&B, blues: The Zydeco Flames have gained the reputation as the West Coast's premiere Zydeco band. Their sizzling roots rhythms are timeless and the execution is relentless, with a stunningly powerful groove and playlist that includes originals and select covers in the genres of Zydeco, Cajun, New Orleans R&B, Rock and Swamp-Pop. This, the Flames' seventh CD release, "Fire Dance", showcases the recent live club performance in Berkeley, California that provides fans with hot Zydeco music they've come to expect from the Flames, in the tradition of the great masters like Clifton Chenier, Buckwheat Zydeco, and Queen Ida. Featuring the soulful, steamy style of classically-trained singer/rubboardist/harpist Lloyd Meadows, the cajun & piano accordion and keyboards of Bruce Gordon (noted California performer who played on Ramblin' Jack Elliot's Grammy-nominated album), guitarist Frank Bohan with musical roots deep in Chicago blues (worked with Johnny Copeland, Alvin "Youngblood" Hart, Ricardo Scales, and Johnny Nitro), and the tight & funky rhythm section of bassist Tim Walker (worked with J.J. Malone, Sista Monica, Bobby Murray, Andre Thierry and The Elvin Bishop Band) and drummer William Allums, with deep roots in gospel music, hip-hop, funk and R&B.

new orleans, zydeco, cajun: Stompin' at the Bal De Maison evolved from a story from Louisiana of house parties where so many folks showed up to dance, the floor broke and they spent Sunday repairing it. This CD is that party, coming at you with relentless grooves designed to keep you stompin' in your own house or nearest dance hall, with new originals, classic Cajun, hard core Zydeco, New Orleans R&B, blues ballads and a French waltz. Gator Beat not only covers the State of Louisiana, they infuse their own feel, call it Rock, call it Pop, call it Gator Beat Stompin' with 3 lead singers: soul crooner Willard Blackwell, David Scott, giving it some rough and ready, and Susie Davis, singer/songwriter extraordinaire, adding her sometimes gutsy, sometimes sweet, but always rich and powerful. Horn section, fiddle, & button box, added to the regular line up of drums, bass, guitar, accordion, sax, rubboard, piano, and penny whistle with carefully crafted harmonies.

new orleans, zydeco, cajun: Gator Beat decided to have some fun. They wrote three songs, including the title track, "Let's Dance". Gator Beat fans will immediately recognize the sound which distinguishes this band from all the others. It's got that good time vibe throughout and the players keep the energy going, driven by Beau Bradbury's "on top of his game" drumming. David Scott, longtime GB sax man, hits his stride and blows the lid off Clifton Chenier's "Ride 'Em Cowboy". Willard Blackwell digs deep and comes up with his best vocals to date, crooning on GB original "Just An Angel" and delivering a knockout punch on Jon Cleary's "C'mon Second Line". The band is running on all cylinders on USS Zydecoldsmobile with guitar man Randy Quan in the driver's seat. It closes out with Randy's original cut which is not only beautiful and groovy, it has Gator Beat written all over it. Cutting a new CD takes what is already there and bumps it up a notch. This time, it was a big bump.

cajun, zydeco, americana, new orleans: This debut album is an exciting tribute to the King of Zydeco, Clifton Chenier and re-creates those early Louisiana dance hall sounds using the same instrumentation of accordion, rubboard, vocals, harp and drums. With Lloyd Meadows harmonica and soulful vocals, Bruce Gordon's funky bluesy zydeco accordion and Tyler Eng's driving drums, the Trio is a fireball of hot music, tear jerking ballads and waltzes. 15 tracks, several great originals plus The Rolling Stones "Miss You." Queen Ida says "I want to commend you, you guys are sounding great, fantastic... Clifton would be real happy. It's a great tribute, a little bit of everything, something for everyone, keep it up."

new orleans, zydeco, cajun: 1st Globe release by the West Coast's premier Zydeco/Cajun band, original and traditional music. Leader and accordionist Richard Domingue, from South Louisiana, is affluent in Cajun and French and keeps the band focused on both authentic and original zydeco and cajun music, with a touch of New Orleans funk. This is not another copy band: they have their own unique sound, which is interesting even by Louisiana standards. Last year they played the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge, the premier Zydeco/Cajun Festival in Louisiana, which is unheard of for a California band. They can play a sit-down show or street dance with equally high impact. They have set sales records in several big festivals including the Sacramento Jazz Festival, Mammoth Lakes Jazz Festvial, San Juan Jazz Festival, and Victoria Jazz Festival. They play at least 40 festivals a year, and work the club circuit from the West Coast to The Crescent City. They have an ever growing fan base that includes a strong core of Cajun-dancers just about everywhere they perform.
