Roots Rock, Americana, Singer/songwriter, country blues, western swing, cajun, folk, acoustic, pop: New Release! 2023 Vinyl LP release. Original and vintage Roots Rock, Americana, Country Blues, Singer/Songwriter, Western Swing and Cajun music with rich acoustic tones... Top 100 Album of 2022 at Alt. Country Specialty Chart. Born out of the pandemic, connecting a vast group of talent not usually available. A shelter-in-Place-inspired musical outfit befitting the newfound minimalism of the times... back to the basics. Formed for the first time in the locked-down summer of 2020, they were born out of live streaming episodes that lead to outdoor performances and a recent foray into the Big-Pink-style living room recording facilities of Globe Records (as also utilized in the recent New Copasetics release). With Tim Eschliman, Candy Girard, Bowen Brown, Beau Beaulieu, Jackson Allen, Vicki Randle, Gary Potterton, Kathy Kennedy, Austin deLone, Isaac Carter, Barbara Higbie and Jack Ohara. Produced by Tim Eschliman. Recorded at Global Mobile, Napa County, CA. Cover Art: Katie Kincade Designs. Manufactured in the Nerherlands. "...excellent album ...has roots in country and blues but zigzags all over the musical map, evokes artists from multiple decades over the last century and embraces everything from indie-rock and Americana to Celtic, Motown, and Western swing. If you need a reference point, look to Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks and Asleep at the Wheel, whose records also draw on disparate sources." - Jeff Burger, Americana Highways, TheAquarian.com. "...everything from alt. rock to cajun, to country, to Brownie Ford era-Western Swing. But the thing that keeps this set together is their excellent songwriting full of smooth never-miss-a-beat lines and vivid imagery. It's a studio album but it sure does have a back porch jam band feel to it" - Calvin Powers, americanamusicshow.com, WHUP-FM (4 songs in rotation)

rock, Americana, twang, pop, country, rockabilly: After some 20 years of roaming the countryside, playing what seems like every honky tonk in America, I have finally perfected the four piece rock and roll boogie band. It has taken a very long time and I'm happy to get it recorded. The scene was the Sunbanks Festival in beautiful Electric City, Washington, on the shores of the Grand Coulee in front of thousands of culture lovers, on Saturday, September 8, 2018. No frills, no overdubs, nothing fancy, just four like minded reprobates doing what we do best: playing their hearts out and creating good time rock and roll music. Tim Eschliman and I have been working together, on and off, playing and producing for 40 years. He plays bass and sings a lot in this band. Sean Allen, western swing hall of famer and pedal steel whiz plays the electric guitar in this group and sings a lot of the songs on this album. Steve Barbuto is the drummer, here been backing the Commander Cody groups for going on 25 years and sings Don't Let Go for the first time live.. I think this is the best album I've done in 45 years and I hope you'll agree... just basic rock and roll from the ozone.

rock, Americana, twang, acoustic, soul, pop, country, rockabilly: CD version. Twang-Ucopia (Balanced Diet) is the debut release of New Copasetics, recorded "live," Big Pink-style in the living room studios of Global Mobile in the San Francisco Bay Area with minimal overdubbing. This brings together a quartet of veteran S. F. Bay Area players with ridiculous credits and a curated playlist of originals and select covers from seminal artists such as Rockpile (Nick Lowe & Dave Edmunds), Ry Cooder, Delbert McClinton, Gary Nicholson, Little Feat, Don Covay, The Simms Twins, Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen, Manual Galban and L. D. Armstrong. This project has been developing for several years, with personnel changes and honing of the musical directions. With the recent addition of Dallis Craft, the bands' sound, material and development of harmonies and duets came together in a powerful way to warrant committing it all to vinyl and CD. New Copasetics players have ridiculous credits: Tim Eschliman (acoustic string bass, vocals, worked with Etta James, Commander Cody & His Western Airmen, Jesse Colin Young, Christmas Jug Band, played on the Grammy-nominated Garden Of Joy album by Maria Muldaur), Sean Allen (electric guitar, steel guitar, vocals, worked with Carlene Carter, Commander Cody & His Western Airmen, Tommy Thomsen, member of Western Swing Hall Of Fame), Dallis Craft (piano, vocals, worked with Bruce Willis, K.T. Oslin), and Kevin Hayes (drums, worked with Robert Cray, Bonnie Hayes & The Wild Combo). Note: "(Tonight I'm) Drinkin' Tomorrow Away" and "The Trouble With the Truth" not included on LP.

rock, pop, rockabilly, Americana: 2-CD set ($17.98 list). All previously unreleased tracks from the band that was led by Bill Kirchen and "moonlighted" from Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen... later to become his backing group. This release presents for the first time many popular mainstays of the live shows as well as some seldom heard, experimental studio recordings. These songs represent the early "Rhythm & Western" sound of the group as well as the later four-man, skinny-tie, rock/pop outfit. These recordings have a live-ness and songwriting that's missing from the two previous releases. Featuring Bill Kirchen, Tony Johnson, Richard Casanova (George Strait), Steve Mackay (Iggy Pop), Steve Fishell (Emmy Lou Harris), Don Kennedy, Rick Higginbotham, Tim Eschliman (Rhythmtown-Jive), Austin de Lone (Eggs Over Easy) with special guests Mark Karan (Ratdog) and James Henry. The live CD includes essential tunes that were staples of the band's live shows but didn't appear on the 2 previously existing releases, like Carl Perkins' "Boppin' the Blues," a few Rockpile numbers and the bands traditional rave-up set-closer, Warren Smith's "Ubangi Stomp." 3 songs from the early "Rhythm & Western" days of the band are included: the Cajun fiddling of "Mississippi Sawyer," "Big Mamou" which featured the 3-man section of fiddle, tenor sax & pedal steel and the sassy "Sittin' On Top Of The World," which adds to that section Bill Kirchen's wild trombone. Live recordings are also from Keystone Palo Alto, The Saddlerack (KFAT Fat-Fry), Keystone Berkeley, and Rohan's Rockpile. The studio CD, on the other hand, brings to light a more experimental side of the band. Three of the tracks were recorded live to 4-track in an afternoon as a pre-production session at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco and when heard by Austin's friend Nick Lowe, led to the arrangements for the recording of the Moonlighter's "Rush Hour" album, which Nick produced in London. Many of the other tracks are song demos of originals by drummer Tony Johnson or bassist Tim Eschliman, and several of those were recorded at Tim and Austin de Lone's at-the-time home studio, the earliest iteration of Globe Studios. Although not all of these recordings were Moonlighter projects per se, they happened to have been recorded by the band members and in some cases led to additions to the band's set lists. Studio recordings are also from Sonoma Recorders and Prairie Sun. Mastered by Fred Catero, Tim Eschliman and Tony Johnson. Packaged in all-recyclable mini-double jacket format.

Rock, pop: Big Sale! This all-original, no-2-songs alike, previously unreleased rock album by the Reptile Brothers features frontmen Gregory Leroy Dewey, "Duke Dagreez", Nicholas Q (Not Joe) Dewey & Tim Eschliman: 3 wacky guys from Ohio and their pals during Mill Valley's mid to late 1970s north of San Francisco music scene. This is a band full of veterans from Mad River, Country Joe & the Fish, Grootna, Eggs Over Easy, Rowdy & the Rivets, Marty Balin's Bodacious D.F., Patty LaBelle, Andy Kulberg, The Moonlighters, Commander Cody, Etta James, Big Joe Turner, Jesse Colin Young, Sky Blue, Seatrain, Lou Reed, Jerry Corbitt, Nick Lowe, David Crosby, Elvis Costello, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Band members are Vic Smith, Austin de Lone, Peter Walsh, Mike Blaney, and a special appearance on vibraphone by Dan Hicks, a sometimes drummer of the group. Other special guests are Eggs Over Easy (Austin de Lone, Brien Hopkins, Jack O'Hara) Jack O'Hara and Steve Fishell. Produced by The Reptile Brothers & Marty Balin. Not Joe Dewey's original version of the song, Runwaway, appears for the first time here, which later became a platinum seller for Marty Balin and Jefferson Starship. Gregory Dewey, Vic Smith and Marty Balin were all in the early 70s band, Bodacious D.F..

rock, accordion, novelty, polka, pop: Stuffed with chuckle-worthy songs in a brain-melting mix of styles, Squeeze Machine's grab bag is practically bursting with original tunes, from the polka-fied blue-collar humor of "A Glass of Beer" (a raucous duet with Drew Carey), to a pair of straight-ahead squeezebox-fueled rockers ("This Song's Got Money Written All Over It" and "The Janitor Knows," an ode to every high school's unsung hero). The CD swings from swampy New Orleans shuffle to international cabaret, and swerves from hilarious hoedown music to funky fun. Squeeze Machine is the band's most ambitious recording yet and features new members Susie Davis (Billy Idol, Mick Jagger, Sheila E.), Carri Abrahms, and Michael Messer.

oldies, pop, soul, rock, rhythm & blues: Sandi and the Accents was the premier rock 'n' roll band of the mid-sixties in San Diego. Their first single, Better Watch Out Boy, climbed to the top ten in San Diego and top 20 in LA in 1964, and was followed by three top 20 singles in the region. They appeared on television shows like those of Lloyd Thaxton and Regis Philbin, and routinely sold out the largest venues in Southern California. They opened for The Rolling Stones, The Byrds, Herman's Hermits, The Righteous Brothers, and The Coasters, and according to a regional radio station poll were more popular than any band except The Beatles. This CD is a compilation of their hits together with live recordings of their fans' favorites. Members include Tony Johnson, Sandi Rouse & Gabe Lapano. Included in this CD are the Accents' four original singles and fourteen tracks recorded live at the San Diego Community Concourse and other venues in 1965 and 1966. You may have been there! The sound quality is not up to today's standards but the performances are everything you remember and more.

rock, accordion, novelty, polka, pop: TDA's sixth release finds the San Francisco-based band once again powering through an electric set of original, squeezebox-fueled rock and pop songs. The new CD is (of course) infused with TDA's easygoing humor and wry take on the world with (gasp!) even a bit of heartwarming sentiment stirred into the eclectic musical melting pot. "Lawnball" also finds the band breaking out of the ''all accordions, all the time" mode with a few special guest spots: Bay Area artists lending a hand include Nik Phelps (trumpet) and Jim Rothermel (clarinet). While accordions are still undeniably the name of the game on "Lawnball," the additional instruments are a happy addition to the sonic mix; bandleader Paul Rogers couldn't resist sprinkling in some piano and acoustic guitar as well. Classic rockers Edgar Winter and Led Zeppelin get the nod this time around for TDA's twisted cover treatment, with a blistering version of Winter's "Frankenstein" and a wailing medley of Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and "Black Dog" rounding out the record. The Zeppelin medley features new band member Susie Davis on lead vocals. She is a veteran of the rock arenas, with an impressive list of major tours to her credit, including stints with Sheila E, Mick Jagger, Daryl Hall, Pat Benatar and Melissa Etheridge. TDA also welcomes vocalist/accordionist Carri Abrahms into the fold on "Lawnball." Her credits include the San Francisco Symphony Choir as well as a tour of duty with San Francisco-based band Rosin Coven. TDA veterans Suzanne Garramone (accordion, vocals), Lewis Wallace (bass guitar) and Bill Schwartz (drums) complete the package.

Engineers: Paul Boutin, Keri, Harvey Mason, Jr. "He Wasn't Man Enough" won the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. The song was also nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. THE HEAT was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. While THE HEAT has no shortage of attention-grabbing hooks, R&B songbird Toni Braxton doesn't go for any of the grand gestures that her stardom would allow. Instead, she plays it agreeably cool, downplaying the vocal pyrotechnics that are the downfall of so many lesser R&B singers. Even Dr. Dre's guest appearance on "Just Be a Man About It" nods to the sensual recitatives and bedside manners of '70s love men like Barry White. The rapid-fire lyrics on "Maybe" are definitely informed by hip-hop vocal rhythms, but the track nevertheless retains a distinctly low-key feel. Meanwhile, the appropriately titled "Spanish Guitar" marks an interruption of the other songs' predominantly electronic textures while remaining consistent with the sensuous, romantic mood. Ultimately, The Heat is an album intended for the fireside rather than the dance floor, and as such, it finds Braxton acquitting herself admirably
