Roots Rock, Americana, Singer/songwriter, country blues, western swing, cajun, folk, acoustic, pop: New Release! 2023 Vinyl LP release. Original and vintage Roots Rock, Americana, Country Blues, Singer/Songwriter, Western Swing and Cajun music with rich acoustic tones... Top 100 Album of 2022 at Alt. Country Specialty Chart. Born out of the pandemic, connecting a vast group of talent not usually available. A shelter-in-Place-inspired musical outfit befitting the newfound minimalism of the times... back to the basics. Formed for the first time in the locked-down summer of 2020, they were born out of live streaming episodes that lead to outdoor performances and a recent foray into the Big-Pink-style living room recording facilities of Globe Records (as also utilized in the recent New Copasetics release). With Tim Eschliman, Candy Girard, Bowen Brown, Beau Beaulieu, Jackson Allen, Vicki Randle, Gary Potterton, Kathy Kennedy, Austin deLone, Isaac Carter, Barbara Higbie and Jack Ohara. Produced by Tim Eschliman. Recorded at Global Mobile, Napa County, CA. Cover Art: Katie Kincade Designs. Manufactured in the Nerherlands. "...excellent album ...has roots in country and blues but zigzags all over the musical map, evokes artists from multiple decades over the last century and embraces everything from indie-rock and Americana to Celtic, Motown, and Western swing. If you need a reference point, look to Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks and Asleep at the Wheel, whose records also draw on disparate sources." - Jeff Burger, Americana Highways, TheAquarian.com. "...everything from alt. rock to cajun, to country, to Brownie Ford era-Western Swing. But the thing that keeps this set together is their excellent songwriting full of smooth never-miss-a-beat lines and vivid imagery. It's a studio album but it sure does have a back porch jam band feel to it" - Calvin Powers, americanamusicshow.com, WHUP-FM (4 songs in rotation)

christmas, folk, acoustic, novelty, jug, seasonal: NOTE: On Sale!. Be the 1st to receive this new format. Limited quantity. USB Music Card with "Christmas On The Moon" single plus the Live From The West Pole album and album covers, liner notes, tasting notes. ...Billionaires in Space? An ever-warming planet? Holidays approaching too fast? Where's this all headed? "Christmas On The Moon!" ...The Christmas Jug Band explores the rocket-fueled elitist escapism mindset... The Futurism of humanity explored by the organic, rural, ancientistic sounds of the crude Americana Roots explorers, the Christmas Jug Band. -This new single delves into that contrast with robotish Devo-like single-note-chord roots rock and a very human, gospel-influenced verse feel that climaxes with a solo section of a Moog Theremin synth sandwiched between 2 very rich acoustic violin and piano passages. Perhaps it's all a metaphor for the likely mixed emotions of actually leaving Terra Firma. With Austin deLone, Tim Eschliman, Paul Rogers, Duke Dagreez Dewey, Snakebite Jacobs, Candy Girard, Willy Jordan and Isaac Carter. The Live From The West Pole album is a live recording from December of 2018 in the Village where it all began...Mill Valley, California. ...deep in the snow drifts of the West Pole. The kings of 100% acoustic folk-skiffle-swing holiday highjinks deliver their first album of all new material since 2009 continuing their penchant for original holiday raucous jugbandizations and parodies of unlikely classics. With Gregory Leroy "Duke" Dewey (Mad River, Country Joe & the Fish), Tim Eschliman (Etta James, Commander Cody, Rhythmtown-Jive), Austin deLone (Elvis Costello, Fabulous Thunderbirds), Ken "Turtle" Vandermarr (Dan Hicks), Paul Rogers (Those Darn Accordions), Blake Richardson, Ken "Snakebite" Jacobs (Kinky Friedman). On "No Hats," her mostly-original debut release, she is featured on acoustic grand piano and accordion with no other accompaniment than trap drums, featuring the best of S. F. Bay Area expert sticksmen: Jimmy Sanchez (Roy Rogers, Boz Skaggs, Rhythmtown-Jive), Kent Bryson (the Johnny Nocturne Band), John Hanes (Pearl Harbour & The Explosions, Paris Slim), and Bowen Brown (Swing Session, Indigo Swing, John Lee Hooker). Caroline Dahl, piano player for the driving American roots R&B group, Rhythmtown-Jive (Globe Records), has also worked many shows with Brenda Boykin, Jerry Shelfer, Those Darn Accordions!, The Lickettes (formerly with Dan Hicks), The Melotones, and The Rhythm Sheiks

rhythm & blues, Pop: Personnel includes: Dr. Dre, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes (vocals); Teddy Bishop (various instruments, keyboards, programming); Rodney Jerkins, Keri, Keith Crouch (various instruments); Babyface (acoustic & electric guitars, keyboards, vocoder, background vocals); Dean Parks, John Smith, Kevin Hicks, Michael Thompson (guitar); Greg Phillinganes (piano); Dorian "Soul Dog" Daniels (keyboards, bass); David Foster, Daryl Simmons, Ray Edwards (keyboards); Nathan East (bass); Jazze Pha, Chris Jennings, Felipe Elgueta, Simon Franklen, Tony Williams (programming); Sue Ann Carwell, Sheree Ford-Payne, Pamela Cook, Trina Braxton, Sara Martin, Deborah Killings (background vocals). Producers include: Keri, Babyface, David Foster, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, Keith Crouch. Engineers: Paul Boutin, Keri, Harvey Mason, Jr. "He Wasn't Man Enough" won the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. The song was also nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. THE HEAT was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. While THE HEAT has no shortage of attention-grabbing hooks, R&B songbird Toni Braxton doesn't go for any of the grand gestures that her stardom would allow. Instead, she plays it agreeably cool, downplaying the vocal pyrotechnics that are the downfall of so many lesser R&B singers. Even Dr. Dre's guest appearance on "Just Be a Man About It" nods to the sensual recitatives and bedside manners of '70s love men like Barry White. The rapid-fire lyrics on "Maybe" are definitely informed by hip-hop vocal rhythms, but the track nevertheless retains a distinctly low-key feel. Meanwhile, the appropriately titled "Spanish Guitar" marks an interruption of the other songs' predominantly electronic textures while remaining consistent with the sensuous, romantic mood. Ultimately, The Heat is an album intended for the fireside rather than the dance floor, and as such, it finds Braxton acquitting herself admirably
