SOUL:
The Ovations were the definitive Memphis vocal group and, with their Sam Cooke-influenced lead singer, they carved a swathe through the Memphis music business of the 1960s and 70s. Their Goldwax singles are loved and cherished by collectors and southern soul fans but until now their sought after LPs - recorded in 1972 and 1973 for Sounds Of Memphis have never been reissued.
